We are Building Leaders for Life

Scouting is more than a chance to experience the glories of nature. It is the doorway to a lifelong journey of personal discovery and service, helping build boys and young men into leaders for life.

Over the last several years, the Great Rivers Council conducted a camp utilization and facilities study and developed a long-range strategic plan. The plan identified the need for new and improved facilities at the Lake of the Ozarks Scout Reservation that will appeal to young people, keeping them in Scouting longer, and increasing the benefits they receive from the Boy Scouts’ proven programs.

Specifically, the Great Rivers Council will:

  • Build a dedicated Cub Scout Camp to introduce young boys to the world of Scouting.
  • Develop our Reservation into a premier destination camp for Boy Scouts in Missouri and beyond.
  • Fund an endowment to support and maintain these facilities for years to come.

You can be part of this important endeavor. This is your opportunity to impact the future of our nation’s next generation of young leaders and make a lasting difference in the world.
